Product Description

Horizontal ball mill with hollow trunnion, shell and girth gear

Grinding with a Continuous Gas Stream

AGICO Air Swept Ball Mill prepares dry powder in a horizontal rotating drum. Steel balls break down the feed, while gas passes through the mill and carries ground material toward separation and collection. For coal preparation, heated gas also removes moisture during grinding. AGICO supplies the mill together with process design and equipment selection support. The circuit is planned around the feed properties, drying duty and required powder quality.

Product Advantages

Drying Along the Material Path

AGICO's hot-gas arrangement brings drying gas into contact with the feed as it moves through the mill.

Powder Transport by Controlled Airflow

The air-swept circuit of AGICO uses the gas stream to carry ground powder from the drum.

Coarse Return for Further Grinding

AGICO's closed-circuit arrangement sends coarse particles back to the mill after separation.

Lubrication for Bearings and Transmission

AGICO's mill assembly includes lubrication systems for the bearing and transmission components.

01

Feed and Drying Gas

Material and drying gas enter through the inlet arrangement.

02

Tumbling Ball Charge

The rotating drum lifts steel balls to grind the feed.

03

Airborne Powder Transfer

Gas carries ground material from the mill to separation.

04

Separation and Collection

Coarse particles return; fine powder passes to collection.

FAQ

Can fineness be changed by adjusting airflow alone?

AGICO considers airflow together with the separator and grinding conditions. Increasing ventilation is not a substitute for checking the powder target, feed rate and circuit balance.

What information is needed to assess the drying duty?

Send AGICO the feed moisture, required output, target product moisture and available gas conditions. These inputs help define the drying arrangement alongside the grinding requirement.

Can an existing grinding line be upgraded?

AGICO can review equipment selection and process design for an upgrade. Provide the current flow sheet, equipment data, available space and the operating problem you want to resolve.

Which details help identify replacement parts?

Give AGICO the mill identification, component drawing, dimensions and clear photographs. For wear parts, include the material being ground and the current wear pattern.
