Concrete Batching Plant

Aggregate batching and feeding is the first step in concrete production. It is responsible for preparing materials like sand and stone. Different sizes of sand and stone are stored in separate aggregate bins (also called batcher hoppers). During production, the weighing hoppers use high-precision sensors to measure the materials by weight. They control the discharge of each aggregate according to the preset mix design. After weighing, the aggregates are transported to the mixing system by a belt conveyor (suitable for large plants, high efficiency) or a skip hopper (suitable for small and  medium plants, small place).

This step mainly handles cement, water, and additives. Cement is stored in sealed cement silos. When feeding is required, a screw conveyor transports the powder to the powder weighing hopper for weighing. Water is stored in a water tank and is delivered to the liquid weighing hopper by a water pump and pipeline for weighing. All materials are prepared for the mixing process.

The weighing system is the core part of ensuring concrete quality. AGICO uses an independent weighing structure to guarantee batching accuracy. Aggregate, powder, and water each have their own weighing hoppers and sensors. The control system completes the weighing of each material in a preset order. It automatically closes the feeders when the weight reaches the requirement. The whole process is fully automated.

The mixing system is the core process in concrete batching system, where all materials are mixed together. The weighed materials are fed into the mixer one by one. Commonly used types include twin-shaft mixers, planetary mixers, and single-shaft mixers. Through the mixing action, the cement slurry is evenly covered around the surface of the aggregates.

The automatic control system is the center of the concrete batching plant. It controls the entire process of concrete storage, conveying, weighing, and mixing. AGICO uses an integrated computer control platform, which can automatically complete the full cycle from batching, weighing, discharging, and mixing to final discharge. During operation, the AGICO control system monitors material status in real time and makes automatic adjustments.
