Product Description
AGICO Roller Press Cement Mill is a combined cement grinding arrangement in which clinker preparation and final milling have separate duties. The press handles initial size reduction; the ball mill and downstream separator complete the grinding circuit. For an upgrade, the useful starting point is the mill inlet, discharge route and existing classifier. AGICO supplies the grinding equipment needed to develop a coordinated layout around these connections.
AGICO offers roller presses and complementary grinding equipment, allowing the press and mill to be considered together when planning a new line or reviewing an existing circuit.

Product Advantages
Separate Duties Across Grinding Stages
AGICO's combined arrangement assigns clinker preparation to the press and further grinding to the mill.
Prepare Cake for Mill Feeding
AGICO's press stage is considered together with cake breakup and the route into the mill.
Keep Fineness Control Downstream
AGICO's circuit review includes the final separator and its coarse return, alongside the grinding machines.
Review the Whole Upgrade Boundary
AGICO's equipment proposal considers existing connections and the required supply scope before a layout is selected.
Grinding Process

Roller Press and Ball Mill Circuit
01
Pre-grind the clinker
The weighed clinker stream enters the press, where opposing rolls compress the particle bed.
02
Break up the cake
Compacted material is disintegrated so it can pass into the selected mill feed arrangement.
03
Mill and classify
The ball mill performs further grinding. Downstream separation directs coarse material back and sends fine product toward collection.
System Configuration
Connect Press Discharge to Mill Feed
Cake handling, conveying and any intermediate separation form the link between the two grinding stages. Their arrangement is chosen as part of the complete cement process.

Check Discharge and Classifier Connections
An existing installation should be reviewed from the mill outlet through the elevator and separator, including the return route and collection equipment.

FAQ
Where are gypsum and cement additions introduced in the illustrated circuit?
They are metered separately and join the ball mill feed after clinker pre-grinding. The drawing shows this arrangement so the addition streams remain distinct from the clinker stream entering the press.
How should a grinding upgrade be assessed during operation?
Record the cement type, finished output, fineness and electrical consumption over the same operating period. Check these together with separator settings and return flow so changes are assessed across the circuit.
Why does the final separator need attention when adding a press?
A change in mill feed also changes the duty presented to the downstream equipment. Separator capacity, conveying routes and collection should therefore be reviewed alongside the proposed grinding equipment.
What should a system layout show before equipment is ordered?
Show fresh feed, addition points, press discharge, mill inlet and outlet, coarse return and product collection. Identify the equipment retained and the new supply boundary, with space for inspection and maintenance.
