The AGICO slag ball mill is a rotary grinding machine that is cylindrical and horizontal. The basic concept underlying its design is the processing of exceptionally hard and abrasive materials. The slag that has completed initial crushing and magnetic separation treatment is finely ground using a sophisticated transmission system, a unique internal structure design, and wear-resistant components to produce slag micro-powder with varying fineness requirements. Product Workflow
The AGICO slag ball mill's cylinder's inner section is composed of two grinding chambers: a coarse grinding chamber and a fine grinding chamber. Each chamber has a different kind of liner and grinding medium depending on its purpose. The feeding, discharging, rotating, transmission (reducer, pinion, motor, electrical control), and lubrication system are some of the machine's other components.
- Cylinder and liner: The AGICO slag ball mill's cylinder is constructed by welding premium steel plates, which have a high strength. Stepped liners are used in the coarse grinding chamber to improve impact crushing and lifting capability. By using small corrugated and activated liners, the fine grinding chamber effectively removes "dead zones" from grinding, increases the activity of steel segments, and improves the grinding effect.
- Drive system: Our slag ball mill offers an efficient central drive solution. Power transfer is more direct, torque is spread evenly, operation is smooth, efficiency is significantly higher than with a conventional edge drive, and maintenance and control are easier because the motor and reducer are mounted on the central axis of the mill.
The working principle of slag ball mill
Through the feeding portion, the materials are consistently and uniformly supplied into the grinding cylinder. Centrifugal force and friction cause the grinding media to rise to a specific height while the cylinder turns, after which they fall, giving the materials inside the cylinder a powerful impact and grinding effect. The material undergoes more intense grinding in the fine grinding chamber after being crushed in the coarse grinding chamber and then screened by the partition plate. The entire grinding process is finished when it is released through the discharge device after reaching the necessary fineness.
