AGICO concrete batching machine is a core auxiliary equipment at the front end of a concrete batching plant. It is specifically designed for automatic batching of aggregates with different particle sizes, such as sand, gravel, and crushed stone.

The AGICO concrete batching machine consists of five main parts: storage bins, weighing system, discharge mechanism, frame, and control system.

 

The storage bins have a "V" shape or a "rectangular box + inclined plate" structure. A belt conveyor or pneumatic gate is installed at the bottom. A key design feature is the removable bin partition, which allows users to adjust the volume ratio of different aggregate bins according to site needs.

 

The weighing hopper is suspended under the frame using 3 or 4 tension or compression load cells. Limit tie rods are used to prevent shaking. The discharge gate uses a rubber sealing strip and a pneumatic actuator. There is no leakage when the gate is closed.

 

AGICO offers PLD series models (800, 1200, 1600, 2400, 3200, 4800) and custom models. The weighing hopper volume ranges from 0.8 m³ to 4.8 m³. The corresponding maximum weighing capacity ranges from 1500 kg to 8000 kg. The number of aggregate types (bins) can be 2, 3, or 4. Notably, the AGICO PLD4800 model can weigh up to 8000 kg of aggregate per batch. Its theoretical productivity reaches.

Q: What is the difference between "accumulative weighing" and "independent weighing" on AGICO concrete batching machine?

A: Accumulative weighing means different aggregates fall into the same weighing hopper one by one for cumulative weighing. It has low equipment cost and a small footprint. It is suitable for ordinary roads or low-grade concrete with less strict mix ratio requirements. Independent weighing means each aggregate type has its own weighing hopper and load cell. All are weighed and discharged at the same time. It has higher efficiency and better accuracy. It also avoids interference between aggregates.

Q: When using an AGICO batching machine, how can we solve the zero drift problem caused by wet sand and stone sticking to the inner wall of the weighing hopper?

A: AGICO provides two solutions. The first is to add a high-frequency vibration motor on the outer wall of the weighing hopper. It vibrates automatically for 3-5 seconds after each discharge to shake off residual material. The second is to line the inner wall of the hopper with ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) plates. Their very low friction coefficient (≤0.1) makes it difficult for wet sand to stick.

Q: What causes data fluctuation on the AGICO batching machine's load cell after a period of use?

A: Data fluctuation is usually caused by loose mechanical limiters or load cell damage due to overload. AGICO batching machines are equipped with anti-overturn limit tie rods and buffer springs at the factory. First, check whether the limit tie rod is too tight or completely detached (about 2mm gap should be kept). If the problem remains, it may be caused by fatigue of the strain gauge inside the load cell from long-term impact.

Q: Can the AGICO batching machine adapt to my existing batching plant control system of a non-AGICO brand?

A: Yes, it can. The AGICO batching machine uses a standard 4-20mA analog signal or RS485 Modbus communication protocol to output weight data. We also provide an independent weighing indicator (which can display weight and control the pneumatic gate). This indicator can run independently as a local control station. It can also exchange data with any of your existing third-party PLCs (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.) through dry contacts (digital signals) or serial communication.
