Product Overview
Continuous Thermal Treatment for Rare Earth Materials
AGICO's rare earth rotary kiln is designed for continuous heat treatment of rare-earth-bearing materials. Suitable feeds can include concentrate, carbonate, oxalate precipitate, hydroxide material, and selected recycling material.
The rotary kiln of AGICO CEMENT can support drying, decomposition, calcination, oxidation, or process-specific roasting. Feed data, atmosphere, gas contact, temperature, and available energy are checked before the kiln is configured.

Product Advantages
Process-Focused Rotary Kiln Advantages
Each main feature is selected from the required thermal duty, material behavior, and plant boundary.
Feed data checked before selection.
Kiln speed matched to the required retention time.
Lining and seals selected for the process atmosphere.
Auxiliary systems matched to the plant boundary.

Stable Shell and Support
AGICO's shell and support design is checked for stable continuous rotation under the selected operating load.

Controlled Kiln Rotation
The drive system of AGICO CEMENT allows kiln speed to be matched with feed rate and required retention time.

Process-Specific Configuration
AGICO's process-specific configuration covers the lining, seals, heating method, and internal arrangement needed by the feed.

Integrated Plant Interface
The system interface of AGICO CEMENT can connect feeding, heating, discharge, cooling, dust collection, and off-gas treatment.
Technical Design and Process
Rotary Kiln Working Process
The shell, material movement, heating duty, drive, support, and sealing system are reviewed as one continuous process.
Rotary Kiln Structure
The shell, riding rings, support rollers, thrust unit, girth gear, drive, seals, and lining are selected as one operating system.
Material Movement and Heat Transfer
Metered feed enters the higher end of the inclined shell. The material is lifted and rolled while it moves through the controlled heating zones to the sealed discharge end.
Mechanical Support and Drive
Support stations keep the shell aligned. The drive turns the kiln at the selected speed, while seals and process-gas connections help maintain the required operating condition.

Heating and Atmosphere Selection
Direct firing can be used when contact with combustion gas is acceptable. Indirect heating separates the heat source from the process material and may support closer atmosphere control.
Electric heating may be considered for controlled or smaller thermal duties when site power is suitable. Final selection is based on temperature, product purity, gas contact, atmosphere, and local utilities.
Model and Process Selection
Kiln diameter and length alone do not define rare earth capacity. The feed condition, heat demand, reaction time, filling rate, gas volume, and required product are reviewed together.

Installation Planning
The installation plan should provide access to the drive, support rollers, seals, burner or heating system, instruments, and gas handling equipment. Alignment and lubrication points must remain accessible.

Maintenance Access and Checks
Routine checks cover shell movement, tyre and roller contact, drive condition, temperature trends, seals, lining condition, and dust or off-gas connections.

FAQ
Can one kiln process different rare earth materials?
Yes, but each feed must be checked. A change in chemical composition, acid content, or atmosphere may require a different lining, seal, or heating system.
How is the heating method selected?
It is selected according to process temperature, gas contact, product purity, available energy, and plant conditions.
Can capacity be selected from kiln diameter alone?
No. Feed condition, reaction time, filling rate, heat demand, and gas handling must also be considered.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Please provide feed data, required capacity, process target, energy source, site power supply, project location, and required supply scope.
