This machine uses a combination smelting technique that mixes coking coal and zinc furnace feed to process ores or waste residues with a zinc concentration of 15% to 25%. Processes like crushing, granulation, and high-temperature calcination can produce high-purity zinc oxide in the rotary kiln, increasing efficiency and reducing the requirement for coke.

Working process of zinc oxide rotary kiln

The raw zinc ore is pre-treated by crushing and grinding to produce ore materials of the appropriate particle size before being fed into the zinc oxide rotary kiln cylinder with a particular inclination. As the kiln body rotates slowly, the ore materials gravitationally flow towards the kiln head in addition to undergoing counter-current heat exchange with the high-temperature gas produced in the combustion chamber at the kiln head.

 

Natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas, the fuel for the combustion system, is maintained at the optimal reaction temperature by a precise temperature control device. During this operation, the kiln head releases the calcination products into the cooling system, and the kiln tail's dust removal and desulfurization mechanism cleans the exhaust gas before it is released. The entire zinc oxide rotary kiln calcination system uses automatic control to ensure the zinc oxide conversion rate and to achieve real-time temperature, rotating speed, and feed volume adjustments.
