Dry Process Cement Production Flow
Raw Material Preparation: Primary materials like limestone, clay, and iron ore are extracted via drilling or mechanical methods and transported to the plant. Initial crushing using jaw crushers reduces oversized limestone chunks to manageable sizes.
Raw Meal Production: Crushed materials undergo fine grinding in ball mills, blended into precise ratios to form raw meal. A homogenization silo ensures chemical uniformity, critical for product consistency.
Clinker Calcination: The raw meal enters a multi-stage preheater system, undergoing gradual heating and partial decarbonization. It then moves into a rotary kiln, where temperatures reach ~1450°C to trigger sintering reactions, forming clinker dominated by tricalcium silicate.
Clinker Cooling: Hot clinker is rapidly cooled in grate or rotary coolers. This step enhances grindability and recovers heat for energy efficiency.
Cement Grinding: Clinker is combined with gypsum (and optional additives like slag or fly ash) in a cement mill. Ball or vertical roller mills pulverize the mixture to achieve the required fineness for final cement.
Storage & Packaging: The final cement products are stored in cement silos, then packed by cement packaging machines, and finally transported to all over the world.
